Updated 24 September 2026 · By Amit Kumar Bansal
SBI Card launched a fully digital application on 23 September 2026 for its fixed deposit-backed Advantage SBI Cards on the SBI YONO app.
If you hold a fixed deposit with SBI, you can now apply for one of four secured cards without paperwork, and SBI Card says the process takes about 10 minutes.
The Launch at a Glance
| Card on YONO | Annual fee (SBI Card catalogue) |
|---|---|
| SBI Card ELITE | ₹4,999 + GST |
| SBI Card PRIME | ₹2,999 + GST |
| SimplyCLICK SBI Card | ₹499 + GST |
| SimplySAVE SBI Card | ₹499 + GST |
| Who can apply | SBI customers with a fixed deposit at SBI |
What This Means for You
A secured card is the easiest route to a first credit card and a credit score when you have no salary slip or credit history.
What is new: you get the same cards unsecured customers get, not a stripped-down starter card. SBI Card’s announcement does not state the minimum FD amount or what share of the deposit becomes your limit, so check both on YONO before you lock the deposit.
Start with SimplySAVE or SimplyCLICK unless you will really use the benefits that justify a ₹2,999 or ₹4,999 fee. Our reviews: SimplySAVE, SimplyCLICK, PRIME and ELITE.
Launch details as announced by SBI Card on 23 September 2026 and reported by Business Today. Fees as listed in SBI Card’s card catalogue on 24 September 2026.
