IDFC FIRST SWYP Welcome Benefit Cut: ₹2,100 Monthly Travel Discount Replaced by ₹250 in Points
IDFC FIRST Bank has rewritten the welcome benefits on its FIRST SWYP Credit Card page. The line promising an instant discount of up to ₹2,100 – ₹700 a month on flight or hotel bookings, for the first three months is gone.
In its place sits a far smaller reward: points worth ₹250, unlocked on your first EMI transaction within 30 days. The fee stays at ₹499 + GST.

What This Means for You
Roughly ₹1,850 of headline welcome value has left the page. The old benefit repeated for three months and paid you for booking travel; the new one is a single credit you collect by converting one purchase into EMI.
The ₹500 gift voucher on ₹5,000 of spends, the one-time MakeMyTrip discount and the Lenskart membership are still listed. IDFC FIRST has not announced the change or said whether existing cardholders keep the monthly discount ask the bank before planning bookings around it.
