AU Small Finance Bank has raised the forex mark-up on its Zenith and Vetta credit cards to 3.49%.

It has also cut the fuel surcharge waiver on Zenith, Vetta and Altura Plus to ₹100 per statement cycle. Both changes took effect on 1 October 2026, as AU’s own pages had pre-announced.

What’s Changing

Card Earlier Now
Zenith forex mark-up 1.99% 3.49%
Vetta forex mark-up 2.99% 3.49%
Zenith fuel waiver cap ₹1,000 ₹100
Vetta fuel waiver cap ₹250 ₹100
Altura Plus fuel waiver cap ₹150 ₹100

What This Means for You

Zenith costs ₹7,999 + GST a year, and low forex was one of its main selling points. On ₹1 lakh of foreign spends you now pay ₹3,490 in mark-up instead of ₹1,990, before GST.

The fuel waiver still applies only to fills of ₹400–₹5,000. Zenith’s page banner still says “Lower Mark-Up Fees Of 1.99%” while its benefits section says 3.49%. Go by the 3.49% and confirm with AU before you travel.

For overseas spends, see our post on the zero-forex Scapia Axis Bank Credit Card.

Figures as shown on the AU Small Finance Bank pages on 1 and 2 October 2026. Confirm on the issuer’s site before applying.
