Landmark Rewards SBI Card Review

At a Glance

Joining Fee ₹499 + GST (₹589 all-in)
Annual Fee ₹499 + GST from the second year, no spend based reversal
Best Suited For Regular shoppers at Lifestyle, Max, Home Centre and Spar
Reward Type SBI Reward Points, redeemed instantly in Landmark Group stores

This is the entry card in SBI’s Landmark Group range, and at ₹589 all in it is one of the cheapest store cards worth considering.

It earns 10 Reward Points per ₹100 across six Landmark brands, which works out to 2.5% back, and the welcome bonus alone returns ₹500 of that ₹589 in year one.

The limitation is equally clear. Outside those six stores and a short list of accelerated categories, the card pays 0.25%, and there is no lounge access at any level.

Rewards & Benefits

Reward rate and earn structure

Spend category Earn rate Cap
Landmark stores online and retail: Lifestyle, Home Centre, Max, Spar, Baby Shop, EasyBuy 10 Reward Points per ₹100 None published
Dining, movies and international spends 5 Reward Points per ₹100 None published
All other retail purchases 1 Reward Point per ₹100 None published

The base rate excludes fuel, rent, government spends, gaming, wallet loads and EMI transactions, which earn nothing at all. That exclusion list is longer than most and worth reading before you route household bills through this card.

Redemption and what a point is worth

Four Reward Points equal ₹1. That puts the Landmark store rate at 2.5% back, dining and movies at 1.25%, and everything else at 0.25%.

Points are redeemed instantly at Lifestyle, Home Centre, Spar, Max, Baby Shop and EasyBuy, which is genuinely convenient at the till but also means the value is locked inside the same group you earned it in. If you stop shopping at Landmark stores, your points have nowhere useful to go.

Welcome and milestone benefits

Benefit Requirement
2,000 Reward Points worth ₹500 Payment of the annual fee
8,000 Reward Points worth ₹2,000 ₹2,00,000 annual retail spend

The welcome bonus is worth ₹500 against an all in cost of ₹589, so the card is close to free in its first year and in any year you renew.

The ₹2 lakh milestone pays 8,000 points worth ₹2,000, which is an effective 1% bonus on top of whatever you earned along the way. Reaching it needs about ₹16,700 a month across all retail spending.

Fuel surcharge waiver

Waiver rate 1% of the transaction
Eligible transaction band ₹500 to ₹3,000
Maximum per statement cycle ₹100

Note the ₹3,000 upper limit, which is lower than the ₹4,000 band on most SBI cards. A single large refill will fall outside it entirely.

Fees & Charges

Joining fee ₹499 + GST
All-in first year cost ₹589
Renewal fee, per annum ₹499 + GST from the second year
Spend based fee reversal None published
Add-on card fee, per annum Nil
Fuel surcharge waiver 1% on ₹500 to ₹3,000, max ₹100 per statement cycle

GST of 18% takes the real cost to ₹589. SBI publishes no spend based reversal on this card, but the 2,000 point renewal bonus worth ₹500 does most of the same job: pay ₹589, receive ₹500 back in points, and the effective annual cost drops to ₹89 provided you can spend those points in a Landmark store.

The thing that catches people out is the exclusion list on the base rate. Rent, wallet top ups, government payments and EMI conversions earn zero, not a reduced rate, so a cardholder who assumes 1 point per ₹100 applies to everything will find several months of spending has earned nothing.

Interest rates, forex markup and cash advance charges are set out in SBI Card’s Most Important Terms and Conditions for this product.

Eligibility & Documents Required

SBI does not publish an income floor, age band or credit score cut-off for this card. At ₹499 it sits at the entry level of SBI’s range, so the underwriting is generally lighter than on premium products.

The card is open for online application. Keep ready your PAN, proof of identity, proof of current address, and either recent salary slips or the last two years of income tax returns if you are self-employed.

Pros & Cons

Pros Cons
2.5% back across six Landmark Group brands Only 0.25% on ordinary spending
Renewal bonus worth ₹500 against a ₹589 fee No airport lounge access at all
Points redeemed instantly at the till Points are locked to Landmark Group stores
₹2,000 of points at the ₹2 lakh milestone Fuel waiver capped at ₹100 and ₹3,000 per transaction

Landmark Rewards SBI Card vs Competitors

Card Annual fee Rate at Landmark stores
Landmark Rewards SBI Card ₹499 10 points per ₹100
Landmark Rewards SBI Card SELECT ₹1,499 15 points per ₹100
Cashback SBI Card Charged annually Flat online cashback, no store tie

Step up to the SELECT only if you spend enough at Landmark stores for 15 points per ₹100 to repay the extra ₹1,180. For anyone whose shopping is spread across the internet rather than one retail group, the Cashback SBI Card is the more sensible choice.

How to Apply

Apply on SBI Card’s website using the button on this page, which opens the Landmark Rewards SBI Card product page.

You can also apply through the SBI Card chatbot, by calling the SBI Card helpline, or at an SBI Card branch.

The welcome points are credited on payment of the annual fee, so they arrive after the fee is billed rather than at approval.

Frequently Asked Questions

Lifestyle, Home Centre, Max, Spar, Baby Shop and EasyBuy, both online and in store. That is 2.5% back at a rate of 4 points to ₹1.

Does the Landmark Rewards SBI Card give lounge access?
No. SBI lists no domestic or international lounge visits on this card. For lounge access in the Landmark range you need the PRIME version.

4 Reward Points equal ₹1. Points are redeemed instantly at Lifestyle, Home Centre, Spar, Max, Baby Shop and EasyBuy.

Which spends earn nothing on this card?
Fuel, rent, government spends, gaming, wallet loads and EMI transactions are all excluded from the 1 point per ₹100 base rate.

How do I get the 8,000 bonus points?

Bottom Line

If your household shops regularly at Lifestyle, Max, Home Centre or Spar, this is an easy card to justify.

The renewal bonus nearly cancels the fee, 2.5% back at those stores beats what most entry cards pay anywhere, and points are spent at the counter with no conversion step.

Skip it if Landmark Group is not already part of your routine. At 0.25% on general spending it is one of the weaker earners in SBI’s range, it excludes rent, fuel and wallet loads entirely, and it offers no lounge access to soften the deal.

A flat rate cashback card will serve you better if your spending is spread widely.
