The Flipkart Wholesale HDFC Bank Credit Card is a business card made for one kind of customer: the shop owner or reseller who already restocks through Flipkart Wholesale, the B2B platform linked to the Best Price wholesale stores.

It pays 5% cashback on Flipkart Wholesale online purchases up to ₹2,000 a month, 5% on telecom, utility, government, and tax payments up to ₹250 a month, and 1% on almost everything else. There is no joining fee.

The real question is whether your monthly stock purchases are big enough to use that ₹2,000 cap, and whether you can cross ₹3 lakh a year to keep the card free.

Rewards & Benefits

Reward rate and earn structure

Spend category Cashback Monthly cap Spend that hits the cap
Flipkart Wholesale online spends 5% ₹2,000 ₹40,000
Telecom, utility, government and tax payments 5% ₹250 ₹5,000
All other spends 1% ₹25,000 ₹25,00,000

The 5% Flipkart Wholesale rate stops at ₹2,000 of cashback a calendar month, which you reach on ₹40,000 of stock purchases.

A shop that buys more than that each month still earns only ₹2,000, so the most this category returns is ₹24,000 a year. The 5% bills and taxes bucket is small: ₹250 a month, or ₹3,000 a year, used up after ₹5,000 of payments.

The 1% rate on other spends carries a ₹25,000 monthly cashback cap, which almost no small business will touch. It excludes fuel and loading money into wallets or prepaid instruments.

Two more exclusions matter. Direct EMI purchases earn no cashback, and only Flipkart Wholesale terminal IDs that the partner has listed count for 5%.

HDFC decides the bills bucket by Merchant Category Code (MCC), the code your payment carries, so a tax payment routed through an unlisted app may earn nothing.

Redemption and cashback value

This is the card’s quiet strength. Cashback earned in a calendar month is adjusted automatically against the statement that follows, at ₹1 for ₹1.

There is no minimum balance to redeem, and HDFC’s MITC lists Flipkart Wholesale among the cards exempt from the ₹50 cashback redemption charge.

Spend ₹40,000 on Flipkart Wholesale in October and ₹2,000 comes off the bill generated in November. If you return an item, the matching cashback is reversed.

Activation and other benefits

Activation cashback ₹500 on each of your first 3 Flipkart Wholesale online purchases of ₹2,000 or more within 90 days, ₹1,500 in total
Fuel surcharge waiver 1% on ₹400 to ₹5,000 transactions, up to ₹250 per statement cycle
Interest-free period Up to 50 days
Lost card liability Zero, once reported to HDFC’s 24-hour helpline
Other features SmartPay for utility bills, SmartEMI conversion, contactless payments

There is no airport lounge access, insurance cover or milestone bonus listed for this card. It is a cashback tool for business purchases, not a travel card.

Fees & Charges

Item Charge
Joining fee Nil
Annual fee ₹499 + GST
Renewal waiver Spend ₹3,00,000 in the previous year
Foreign currency markup 3.5%
Interest (finance charge) 3.75% a month, 45% a year (MITC)
Cash advance 2.5% of the amount, minimum ₹500
Late payment Nil up to ₹100 due, then ₹100 to ₹1,300 by balance slab
Fuel transactions 1% fee on a transaction above ₹30,000 (business cards)
Utility spends 1% fee on the total above ₹75,000 a month (business cards)
Rent payments 1% fee, capped at ₹4,999 per transaction
Wallet loads 1% fee on the total above ₹10,000 a month
Card reissue ₹100
GST 18% on all fees, interest and charges

The waiver bar is high for a ₹499 card. ₹3,00,000 a year works out to ₹25,000 a month. A shop already putting ₹40,000 of monthly stock purchases on the card clears it easily. A reseller using the card only now and then will pay ₹589 a year from year two.

The charge that catches business owners out is interest. Many treat a business card as a short-term credit line for stock. Carry a balance and HDFC charges 3.75% a month, which wipes out a 5% cashback within six weeks.

Eligibility & Documents Required

HDFC issues this card to self-employed Indian nationals aged 21 to 65 with an Income Tax Return showing more than ₹6 lakh a year.

The card’s FAQ says it is meant for Flipkart Wholesale customers, mainly resellers and wholesalers. Keep PAN, Aadhaar or passport as identity and address proof, and your latest ITR and bank statements as income proof.

Pros & Cons

Pros Cons
No joining fee 5% Flipkart Wholesale cashback capped at ₹2,000 a month
5% back on stock purchases you already make ₹3,00,000 yearly spend needed for the renewal waiver
Cashback auto-adjusted, no minimum, no redemption fee No cashback on fuel, wallet loads or direct EMI
1% on other spends is practically uncapped No lounge access or insurance cover

Flipkart Wholesale Card vs Competitors

HDFC business card Annual fee Renewal waiver spend
Flipkart Wholesale ₹499 + GST ₹3,00,000 a year
Retailio HDFC Bank ₹499 + GST ₹50,000 a year
BizGrow ₹500 + GST ₹1,00,000 a year

The Flipkart Wholesale card wins only if Flipkart Wholesale is where you buy stock. Retailio suits chemists who order on that pharmacy platform, with a much lower waiver bar. BizGrow is a general business card that is not tied to any supplier.

How to Apply

The card is offered to Flipkart Wholesale customers through the Flipkart Wholesale and Best Price platforms, including the Best Price mobile app.

HDFC’s product page also lets existing account holders submit the application form at a branch, and new customers can submit it with an account opening form. Approval is at HDFC’s discretion and depends on your documents and credit history.

Frequently Asked Questions

No, the joining fee is nil. From the second year the annual fee is ₹499 + GST, waived if you spent ₹3,00,000 or more in the previous year.

Do I get 5% cashback on offline Best Price store purchases?

Not as a standing benefit. The 5% rate covers Flipkart Wholesale online spends. Offline spends earned 5% only under a limited 2024 onboarding offer that has ended.

How is the cashback paid?

Automatically. Cashback earned in a calendar month is adjusted against the next statement, with no minimum balance and no redemption fee.

Does the card earn cashback on fuel?

No. Fuel is excluded from the 1% cashback, though you get a 1% surcharge waiver on ₹400 to ₹5,000 transactions, up to ₹250 a statement cycle.

Who is eligible for the Flipkart Wholesale credit card?

Self-employed applicants aged 21 to 65 with an ITR above ₹6 lakh a year. Salaried applicants are not covered by HDFC’s published criteria.

Bottom Line

Get the Flipkart Wholesale HDFC Bank Credit Card if you run a shop or resell goods, buy ₹25,000 to ₹40,000 or more of stock on Flipkart Wholesale every month, and pay your bill in full.

At that level you earn up to ₹24,000 a year in automatic cashback and the ₹499 fee never applies. Skip it if you buy stock mainly offline or from other suppliers, if your yearly card spend stays well below ₹3 lakh, or if you plan to roll over balances, because 45% a year in interest outweighs every rupee of cashback.
