Axis Pride Platinum Fee Waiver Now Needs ₹40,000 in Spends, Double the Old ₹20,000

Updated 25 September 2026 · By Amit Kumar Bansal

Axis Bank has made the annual fee waiver on its Pride Platinum Credit Card twice as hard to earn.

As shown on the Axis Bank page on 25 September 2026, the ₹250 + GST second-year fee is now waived only on ₹40,000 of spends in the preceding year, up from ₹20,000. Gift card and toll spends also stop counting towards the waiver on both Pride cards.

What’s Changing

Item Earlier Now
Pride Platinum annual fee ₹250 + GST from year 2 ₹250 + GST from year 2
Pride Platinum waiver spend ₹20,000 a year ₹40,000 a year
Pride Signature waiver spend ₹40,000 for the ₹500 + GST fee ₹40,000 (unchanged)
Spends that don’t count Rent (MCC 6513), wallet loads (MCC 6540) Rent, wallet loads, gift cards (5947), tolls (4784)

What This Means for You

A Pride Platinum holder now needs about ₹3,334 a month on the card, not ₹1,667, to skip the ₹250 fee. Buying Amazon or Flipkart gift cards and paying FASTag tolls will no longer help you reach it on either card.

Axis has not said from which anniversary the higher target applies, so ask before your renewal month.

Also on Axis: Axis REWARDS card fee drops to nil on Amex.

Fees as shown on the Axis Bank Pride card pages on 25 September 2026. Confirm on the issuer’s site before applying.
