IDFC FIRST Power Welcome Voucher Now Needs the HPCL Transaction Settled Within 30 Days
Updated 20 September 2026 · By Amit Kumar Bansal
IDFC FIRST Bank has added a footnote to its FIRST Power and FIRST Power+ fuel card page. The joining-offer voucher now counts only if the first HPCL transaction is settled within 30 days of card generation swiping inside the window is no longer enough. The ₹499 + GST joining fee is unchanged.
What Changed
| Joining offer term | Earlier | Now |
|---|---|---|
| FIRST Power+ voucher | ₹500, on a first HPCL fuel spend of ₹500+ within 30 days of card generation | Same, plus it must settle within 30 days |
| FIRST Power voucher | ₹250, on a first HPCL fuel spend of ₹250+ within 30 days | Same settlement condition |
| Deadline measured by | No settlement clause stated | Settlement date, not swipe date |
What This Means for You
Fuel is where this bites. Petrol pumps routinely pre-authorise first and post the final amount a day or more later, so a fill-up on day 29 can swipe inside the window and settle outside it and the voucher is gone.
Fill up in the first three weeks, not the last. IDFC FIRST has not said whether cards generated before today are judged by the older wording, so ask the bank if you are cutting it fine. Same issuer, better news: every IDFC FIRST card now has zero forex markup.
As shown on the IDFC FIRST Bank FIRST Power page on 20 September 2026. Confirm with the issuer before applying.
