Federal Bank Paisaback RuPay Credit Card Launched: 7.5% Cashback on Groceries for a ₹500 Fee

Updated 15 September 2026 · By Amit Kumar Bansal

Federal Bank and Paisabazaar have launched the Paisaback RuPay Credit Card, a cashback card built for grocery spends. It was unveiled with NPCI at the Global Fintech Fest in Mumbai on 14 September 2026. It pays 7.5% back at supermarkets and quick-commerce apps, for a ₹500 + GST fee that is waived on ₹1.5 lakh of yearly spends.

Key Details

Feature Details
Joining / annual fee ₹500 + GST each, annual fee waived on ₹1.5 lakh spends
Groceries (DMart, Reliance Fresh, Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy Instamart, BigBasket and more) 7.5% cashback
Other card and online spends 1% cashback
UPI payments above ₹2,000 0.5% (not grocery, fuel or travel)
Monthly cap ₹1,000 across all spends
Fuel surcharge waiver Up to ₹100 per billing cycle

What This Means for You

The ₹1,000 cap is reached at about ₹13,300 of grocery spends a month, so bigger bills earn nothing extra. A family spending ₹10,000 a month on groceries gets ₹750 back, about ₹9,000 a year, against a ₹500 fee. Cashback comes as Cash Points that expire after one year. Federal Bank’s card page could not be checked, so read the full MITC before applying.

Figures as announced in the Paisabazaar and Federal Bank press release of 14 September 2026. Confirm on the issuer’s site before applying.
