Landmark Rewards SBI Card SELECT Review

At a Glance

Joining Fee ₹1,499 + GST (₹1,769 all-in)
Annual Fee ₹1,499 + GST from the second year, no spend based reversal
Best Suited For Heavy Landmark Group shoppers who also spend on dining and movies
Reward Type SBI Reward Points, redeemed instantly in Landmark Group stores

The SELECT sits in the middle of SBI’s three Landmark cards and raises two rates that matter. Landmark store spending earns 15 Reward Points per ₹100, which is 3.75% back, and dining, movies and international spends double from the entry card’s rate to 10 points per ₹100.

The welcome bonus is worth ₹1,500 against a ₹1,769 joining cost. What the SELECT does not add, despite costing three times the entry card, is lounge access. For that you have to go to the PRIME.

Rewards & Benefits

Reward rate and earn structure

Spend category Earn rate Cap
Landmark stores online and retail: Lifestyle, Home Centre, Max, Spar, Baby Shop, EasyBuy 15 Reward Points per ₹100 None published
Dining, movies and international spends 10 Reward Points per ₹100 None published
All other retail purchases 2 Reward Points per ₹100 None published

The base rate excludes fuel, rent, government spends, gaming, wallet loads and EMI transactions entirely. Those earn nothing rather than a reduced rate, which is worth knowing before you route bills through the card.

Redemption and what a point is worth

Four Reward Points equal ₹1. That makes the Landmark store rate 3.75% back, dining, movies and international spends 2.5%, and everything else 0.5%.

Points redeem instantly at Lifestyle, Home Centre, Spar, Max, Baby Shop and EasyBuy. The convenience is real, and so is the constraint: value only comes out inside the Landmark Group, so the card rewards a shopping habit rather than general spending.

Welcome and milestone benefits

Benefit Requirement
6,000 Reward Points worth ₹1,500 Payment of the annual fee
12,000 Reward Points worth ₹3,000 ₹3,00,000 annual retail spend

The welcome points cover ₹1,500 of the ₹1,769 you pay, and because they repeat on every annual fee payment, the effective yearly cost is closer to ₹269 than ₹1,769.

The ₹3 lakh milestone needs about ₹25,000 a month of retail spending and returns ₹3,000, an effective 1% bonus on top of the base earning.

Fuel surcharge waiver

Waiver rate 1% of the transaction
Eligible transaction band ₹500 to ₹3,000
Maximum per statement cycle ₹100

The ₹100 monthly ceiling is the same as on the ₹499 entry card, so the extra ₹1,000 of fee buys you nothing here. The ₹3,000 upper band also means a single large refill falls outside the waiver.

Fees & Charges

Joining fee ₹1,499 + GST
All-in first year cost ₹1,769
Renewal fee, per annum ₹1,499 + GST from the second year
Spend based fee reversal None published
Add-on card fee, per annum Nil
Fuel surcharge waiver 1% on ₹500 to ₹3,000, max ₹100 per statement cycle

GST of 18% brings the real cost to ₹1,769. There is no spend threshold that removes the fee, but the 6,000-point renewal bonus worth ₹1,500 does most of that work each year, provided you actually spend those points at a Landmark store. If you do not shop there any more, the bonus is worthless, and the fee is not.

The thing that catches people out is the step up from the entry card. Paying ₹1,180 more buys a higher store rate and a bigger welcome bonus, but no lounge access, no better fuel waiver, and no fee reversal.

The upgrade only pays for itself if your Landmark spending is high enough that 5 extra points per ₹100 covers the difference, which needs roughly ₹95,000 a year at those stores.

Eligibility & Documents Required

SBI does not publish an income floor, age band or credit score cut-off for this card. It is open for online application on SBI Card’s website.

Keep your PAN, proof of identity, proof of current address, and either recent salary slips or the last two years of income tax returns if you are self-employed. Approval and the credit limit are decided by SBI Card on your income and credit profile.

Pros & Cons

Pros Cons
3.75% back across six Landmark Group brands No airport lounge access despite a ₹1,499 fee
2.5% on dining, movies and international spends Only 0.5% on ordinary spending
Renewal bonus worth ₹1,500 every year Same ₹100 fuel waiver cap as the ₹499 card
₹3,000 of points at the ₹3 lakh milestone Points can only be spent inside Landmark Group

Landmark Rewards SBI Card SELECT vs Competitors

Card Annual fee Rate at Landmark stores
Landmark Rewards SBI Card SELECT ₹1,499 15 points per ₹100
Landmark Rewards SBI Card ₹499 10 points per ₹100
Landmark Rewards SBI Card PRIME ₹2,999 25 points per ₹100, plus lounge access

The SELECT is squeezed from both sides. The ₹499 card gives 2.5% back for a third of the fee, and the PRIME gives 6.25% plus twelve lounge visits for twice it.

If you spend heavily at Landmark stores, jumping straight to the PRIME usually makes more sense than stopping here. Compare it against the SBI Card PRIME if you want broader everyday earning.

How to Apply

Apply on SBI Card’s website using the button on this page, which opens the Landmark Rewards SBI Card SELECT product page.

You can also apply through the SBI Card chatbot, by calling the SBI Card helpline, or at an SBI Card branch. The 6,000 welcome points are credited on payment of the annual fee, so expect them after the fee is billed rather than at approval.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Landmark Rewards SBI Card SELECT annual fee waived?
No. SBI publishes no spend based reversal. The fee is ₹1,499 + GST, which is ₹1,769, every year, offset by 6,000 renewal points worth ₹1,500.

How much do I earn at Landmark stores?
15 Reward Points per ₹100 at Lifestyle, Home Centre, Max, Spar, Baby Shop and EasyBuy, online and in store. At 4 points to ₹1 that is 3.75% back.

Does the SELECT include lounge access?
No. SBI lists no domestic or international lounge visits on this card. Only the Landmark Rewards SBI Card PRIME in this range carries lounge benefits.

Is the SELECT worth the extra ₹1,000 over the entry card?
Only if you spend around ₹95,000 a year or more at Landmark stores, which is roughly where the extra 5 points per ₹100 repays the fee difference.

What earns nothing on this card?
Fuel, rent, government spends, gaming, wallet loads and EMI transactions are excluded from the 2 points per ₹100 base rate.

How do I get the 12,000 bonus points?
Spend ₹3,00,000 on retail purchases in a card year. The bonus is worth ₹3,000 at the standard 4 points to ₹1 rate.

Bottom Line

Take the SELECT if Landmark Group is where a serious share of your household budget goes and you also spend regularly on dining and cinema.

At 3.75% in store and 2.5% on dining and movies, with a renewal bonus that returns most of the fee, it earns its place for that specific shopper.

Skip it if you shop at Landmark occasionally. The middle tier is the hardest to justify in this range: the ₹499 card already gives 2.5% back for a third of the cost, and if your store spending is genuinely high the PRIME pays 6.25% and throws in twelve lounge visits.

Anyone whose spending is spread across the internet rather than one retail group should not be looking at any of the three.
