Axis Bank Moves Air India, Flying Blue and Qantas to Group A: Atlas Transfers Capped at 30,000 Miles a Year

Axis Bank has reshuffled its EDGE Rewards and EDGE Miles transfer partners overnight. Air India, Flying Blue and Qantas now sit in Group A, the tightly capped group, so an Atlas cardholder can send them only 30,000 EDGE Miles a year in total. Accor ALL is back, and Cathay, Miles & More and Hilton Honors are new.

What’s Changing

Item Earlier Now
Air India, Flying Blue, Qantas Group B Group A
Atlas yearly limit for them Shared 1,20,000 Group B allowance Shared 30,000 Group A allowance
Accor ALL Not a partner Group A; Atlas 2:1, Magnus 5:1, Magnus Burgundy 5:2
New partners — Cathay (Group A); Miles & More, Hilton Honors (Group B)

What This Means for You

If you used Atlas mainly for Air India, you now share just 30,000 miles a year with Singapore KrisFlyer, Qatar, Etihad, British Airways and every other Group A airline. Magnus holders get 1,00,000 points for Group A.

The change is already live, so there is no window to move points at the old grouping. Check your partner’s group before planning a redemption, and remember Axis says it can change the list without notice.
