HSBC Waives Forex Mark-Up on All Its Credit Cards Until 30 September 2026
Updated 18 September 2026 · By Amit Kumar Bansal
HSBC India is charging no foreign exchange mark-up on international spends until 30 September 2026.
The waiver runs on every HSBC credit card held by resident Indians and NRIs, with corporate cards the only exclusion. That leaves twelve days to use it.
Offer At A Glance

What This Means for You
If you have an overseas trip, a foreign subscription or an international order pending, move it into this window. Read the fine print first.
Only the bank’s own mark-up goes GST and the cross-border fee charged by Mastercard, Visa or RuPay still apply, and cash withdrawals at foreign ATMs are excluded.
HSBC also judges eligibility on the posting date, not the transaction date, so a purchase made on 29 September that settles in October may miss out. Spend early rather than on the last day. HSBC has not said whether the waiver will be extended.
A card with zero forex all year round: IDFC FIRST zero forex markup.
Terms as published on the HSBC India offers page and its offer PDF on 18 September 2026.
