Updated 20 October 2026 · By Amit Kumar Bansal
Axis Bank has added a waiver to the joining fee of its ACE Credit Card. The ₹499 + GST joining fee is now waived if you spend ₹10,000 within 45 days of card set-up, as shown on the Axis Bank page on 20 October 2026. Until now, the fee row simply read ₹499.
What’s Changing
| Fee | Earlier | Now |
|---|---|---|
| Joining fee | ₹499 + GST | ₹499 + GST, waived on ₹10,000 spends within 45 days |
| Annual fee (2nd year onward) | ₹499 + GST | ₹499 + GST, unchanged |
| Annual fee waiver | Annual spends above ₹2,00,000 | Unchanged; rent and wallet loads do not count |
What This Means for You
If you are applying now, the first year can cost nothing: put ₹10,000 on the card in the first 45 days and the ₹499 comes back.
Everything else on the page is the same, including 5% cashback on bills and recharges through Google Pay, 4% on Swiggy, Zomato and Ola, 1.5% on other spends and 4 domestic lounge visits a year.
The waiver is about the joining fee only, so existing cardholders gain nothing new. Axis has not said whether the 45 days count from approval or activation; check before you rely on it.
Figures as shown on the Axis Bank page on 20 October 2026. Confirm on the issuer’s site before applying.
