Best Suited For First-time Yes Bank cardholders who shop mostly online and redeem points for flights or hotels
Reward Type YES Rewardz Points

The Yes Bank ACE Credit Card is an entry-level rewards card. It was earlier called YES Prosperity Rewards Plus, and it now earns 8 points per ₹200 online and 4 points per ₹200 offline.

The fee is ₹499 + GST, and it is easy to get back. Spend ₹5,000 in your first month and the joining fee is reversed. Spend ₹50,000 in a year and the renewal fee is reversed too.

The catch is a long exclusion list that changed on 15 June 2026. UPI, fuel, rent, insurance, education and several other categories now earn nothing. This review covers the earn rules, the real point value and who should skip it.

Rewards & Benefits

Reward rate and earn structure

Spend type Reward rate
Online shopping 8 points per ₹200
Offline shopping 4 points per ₹200
Utilities and pay TV or streaming (MCC 4900, 4899) 2 points per ₹200, utility points capped at 150 per statement cycle
Total earning cap 5,000 points per statement cycle

Every rate above sits under the overall cap of 5,000 points per statement cycle. At 8 points per ₹200, you reach that cap after about ₹1.25 lakh of online spending in a cycle.

From 15 June 2026, no points are earned on rent, wallet loads, fuel, UPI, government, marketing and advertising, insurance, education, railways, toll, ferry and jewellery. Cash withdrawals and every type of EMI are excluded as well.

The UPI exclusion matters most. If you planned to pay at QR codes with this card, those payments earn zero points.

Redemption and point value

Redemption option Value of 1 point
Flights and hotel bookings ₹0.25
E-gift vouchers ₹0.10
Statement credit ₹0.10
Merchandise or PM Cares donation ₹0.10
Air India Maharaja Club 10 points per 1 air mile

On flights and hotels, 8 points per ₹200 is worth ₹2, a 1% return online. Offline it drops to 0.5%. Redeem for vouchers or statement credit instead and the online return falls to 0.4%.

Each redemption needs at least 2,000 points and costs ₹100 + GST. Flight bookings add a ₹99 + GST convenience fee, and points can cover only 70% of the invoice.

Voucher and statement credit redemptions are limited to 50% of your available points. Points stay valid for 36 months from the date you earn them, so you can save up for one larger booking.

Lifestyle benefits

The card offers a buy-one-get-one coffee deal at eligible outlets inside select malls. It also carries a purchase protection plan, and Yes Bank lets you pick a rewards subscription plan from its card services page.

The MITC does not list ACE among the cards with complimentary airport lounge access. There is no welcome bonus or milestone benefit beyond the fee reversals.

Fees & Charges

Charge Amount

All fees attract 18% GST. The first-year reversal is simple: ₹5,000 in the first month of card setup covers it. For renewal, ₹50,000 a year is about ₹4,200 a month.

The charge that catches people out is the 3.99% monthly interest. That is higher than the 3.75% many banks charge, so never revolve a balance on this card.

Bottom Line

The Yes Bank ACE Credit Card is a cheap entry card that rewards online shopping. Redeemed for flights or hotels, it returns 1% online and 0.5% offline, and ₹50,000 a year keeps it free.

Get it if you are new to Yes Bank, shop online regularly, and are happy to save points for one travel booking. The 36-month validity makes that practical.

Skip it if you pay mostly by UPI, spend on fuel or rent, or want lounge access. The ₹100 redemption fee also hurts small redeemers, so a flat cashback card will serve you better.

Fees and features are as of October 2026. Check Yes Bank’s site before applying.
