We read every email. Below is what we can help with, what we can’t, and roughly how long each takes — so you know before you write whether we’re the right people to ask.

Reporting an error
This is the email we most want to receive. Issuers change terms without announcing them, and a fee that was right in March can be wrong by August.
To make a correction fast, include:
- The page link on Card Jaano.
- The figure we published and the figure you’re seeing.
- Where you saw it — your statement, the bank’s site, the MITC document, or what customer care told you. A screenshot helps.
We verify every report against the issuer’s current MITC before changing anything. If we’re wrong, we fix the page, update the date on it, and reply to tell you it’s done. We correct the page itself rather than adding a footnote a reader landing on it tomorrow should see the right number, not an apology.
What we cannot help with
Card Jaano is a research and publishing site. We are not a bank, an NBFC, a card issuer, or an agent for any of them. We have no access to your account and no influence over any issuer’s decisions.
That means we cannot:
- Check your application status, or find out why one was declined. Only the issuer knows, and they’re required to tell you if you ask.
- Get a card approved, speed up approval, or escalate an application.
- Reverse a charge, waive a fee, or dispute a transaction.
- Raise, lower, or unblock a credit limit.
- Fix or dispute your CIBIL score. That goes to CIBIL directly, or to the bank that reported the entry.
- Report fraud on your card. This one is urgent see below.
If you suspect fraud or your card is lost: call the number printed on the back of your card or in your issuer’s app, and block the card immediately. Do not email us first; every hour matters, and we cannot act on your account. Under RBI rules your liability is limited if you report unauthorised transactions promptly, so report to the bank the same day.
For anything account-related, use the customer care number on the back of your card or the one listed on your issuer’s official website. Please don’t rely on a phone number you found through a search number-spoofing is one of the most common card frauds in India.
Personalised advice
We can answer a general question how a billing cycle works, what a forex markup is, how two cards compare on paper. We’re glad to.
What we won’t do is tell you which card to take given your salary, your existing loans, and your spending. We don’t know your full financial position, and a recommendation that ignores it isn’t worth having. Card Jaano publishes general information, not personalised financial advice, and we’re not RBI- or SEBI-registered advisers.
Partnerships, PR, and advertising
We accept display advertising and affiliate relationships, and both are disclosed. We do not accept:
- Guest posts, contributed articles, or “collaborations” that are link placements.
- Paid backlinks or link insertions into existing articles.
- Sponsored reviews, or payment to be included in a best-of list.
- Payment to change a rating, change a ranking, or remove criticism.
Nothing on this site is for sale to an issuer or brand. If your email asks for any of the above, it will be a short reply.
Genuine partnership, media, or data-request enquiries are welcome write with specifics rather than a template.

Public replies on social are faster for a one-line question. Anything involving your account details belongs in email or better, with your bank. Never send us your full card number, CVV, PIN, OTP, or passwords. No genuine bank or website will ever ask you for these, and neither will we.
A note on response times
Card Jaano is a small operation, not a call centre. Corrections jump the queue because a wrong number on a live page affects every reader who finds it. Everything else gets answered in order. If a week passes with no reply, send the email again it happens.
