At a Glance

Joining Fee ₹1,000 + GST (₹1,180 all-in), charged on activation, no waiver
Annual Fee ₹1,000 + GST from year 2, waived on ₹2 lakh of retail spends in the previous card year
Best Suited For Families with big grocery and tap-to-pay spending who fly domestic a few times a year
Reward Type AU Reward Points, redeemed on AU Rewardz

The AU Laksya Credit Card is AU Small Finance Bank’s everyday rewards card. It pays 5 reward points per ₹100 on groceries, department stores and contactless tap-to-pay, and 2 points per ₹100 on most other spends.

It also carries up to 8 domestic airport lounge visits a year, three monthly app discounts on Amazon Fresh, Zomato and District, and zero processing fee on Xpress EMI.

The catch is the spending you need to unlock it. Lounge access needs ₹50,000 a quarter, and the fee waiver needs ₹2 lakh a year. This review shows whether those numbers work for you.

Rewards & Benefits

Reward rate and earn structure

Spend type Points per ₹100 Cap
Grocery and department stores 5 1,000 points per statement cycle
Contactless tap-to-pay (card or phone) 5 No cap
Other retail spends 2 None published
Insurance, utility and telecom 1 100 points per utility or telecom transaction
Cash, rent, education, government, EMI, fuel, BBPS bill payments, transport, quasi-cash 0 Not eligible

The grocery cap of 1,000 points is reached at ₹20,000 of grocery and department store spending in a cycle. Anything above that earns nothing extra at 5x.

The uncapped tap-to-pay rate is the hidden strength. Tap your card or phone on a shop’s POS machine for payments up to ₹5,000 without a PIN, and every such payment earns 5 points per ₹100 with no monthly limit.

Note that utility bills paid through BBPS earn nothing. Pay them directly on the provider’s site if you want the 1 point.

Redemption and point value

Points go into AU Rewardz, where you can redeem them for e-vouchers, merchandise, and flight or hotel bookings. Each redemption costs ₹99 + GST, so redeem in large batches, not small ones. Points stay valid for 2 years from the date you earn them.

AU does not publish a fixed rupee value per point for this card. Its welcome offer treats 4,000 points as the alternative to a ₹1,000 voucher, which works out to ₹0.25 a point. At that rate, 5 points per ₹100 is 1.25% back and 2 points is 0.5%.

Welcome benefit and partner offers

Activate the card and make your first transaction within 30 days of issue, and you can pick 4,000 bonus points or a ₹1,000 brand voucher. You must claim it within 2 months of activation, and the choice cannot be changed later.

Partner Offer Minimum order Maximum a month
Amazon Fresh / Amazon Now 15% instant discount ₹500 ₹250, once a month
Zomato food delivery 15% instant discount ₹500 ₹250, once a month
District movies Buy one, get one ticket ₹250 ₹250, once a month

Used every month, these three offers are worth up to ₹750 a month, or ₹9,000 a year. Add-on cards can use them too. The Visa version also lists a free Times Prime membership and MakeMyTrip flight and hotel offers.

Yes, the ₹1,000 + GST annual fee is waived from the second year if you spent ₹2 lakh on retail purchases in the previous card year. The joining fee is never waived.

How many lounge visits does AU Laksya give?

You get up to 8 domestic lounge visits a year, 2 per quarter. Each quarter’s visits need ₹50,000 of spending in the previous calendar quarter.

Does AU Laksya give international lounge access?

No. Only domestic airport lounges in India are covered, and only for the primary cardholder.

Do I earn reward points on fuel or rent?

No points are earned on fuel, rent, education, government payments, EMI or BBPS bill payments. Fuel bills of ₹400 to ₹5,000 do get a 1% surcharge waiver, up to ₹150 a cycle.

Which welcome benefit should I choose?

Both are pitched as worth ₹1,000. Pick the voucher if one of the listed brands suits you, since points carry a ₹99 + GST redemption fee.

Bottom Line

The AU Laksya Credit Card rewards one habit above all: tapping your card for everyday shopping. Do that, use the three app offers each month, and spend ₹50,000 a quarter, and the card returns well over its ₹1,180 joining cost.

Get it if you spend ₹2 lakh or more a year offline and fly domestic a few times. Skip it if you spend under ₹16,000 a month, shop mostly online, or travel abroad. The fee and the lounge rules will cost you more than you earn.

Fees and features are as of October 2026. Check AU Bank’s site before applying.
